About the Festival

In its fourth year, the Seven Stars Music and Arts Festival provides a venue for a variety of local and regional talent that is often not showcased at larger, more established festivals.  This year’s festival offers a mix of mainstream and eclectic sounds ranging from Appalachian roots music to folk rock and Rhythm and Blues.

Festival attendees can also enjoy the work of fine artists and craftsmen working in a variety of media.  Pottery, jewelry, paintings, handcrafted wood furniture and other one-of-a-kind creations will be showcased for display and sale. Children's activities will be scheduled throughout the day. Additionally, food and beverages will be available at the festival, or attendees may feel free to BYOB and picnic. The festival will be held rain or shine, and pets are not permitted.

Organizers include Kimberton residents Dave Biddison and Trish Keegan, along with Keith Brand, host of WXPN's popular radio program, Sleepy Hollow.  Kimberton residents Bill Wilson and his wife Marti, own the West Seven Stars meadow where the festival will take place.

The Kimberton area is a central location for many Community Supported Agriculture organizations and biodynamic farms, and this year’s festival will feature an information village with various ecological and environmental groups represented.  Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, a biodynamic residential farm for developmentally disabled adults, will be a beneficiary of this year’s event.
