Bet Williams

Bet Williams has been a mover and a shaker on the club and coffeehouse circuit for the past ten years.  After developing a cult following at Penn State in the late 80's, Bet packed up her poetry degree and a handfull of songs to take them on the road.  Since then she's written hundreds more and traveled across America from House of Blues and Troubadour in Los Angeles to the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville to the Bottom Line in New York City sharing the stage with artists as diverse as Joan Osborne, Arlo Guthrie, John Gorka and Baba Olatungi.  Bet has an electrifying voice and high energy performing style unmatched by most contemporary female artists today.     www.epiphanyrecords.com

The Ben Arnold Band (of 4 Way Street)

Ben Arnold is a very prolific and original song crafter in the old school style with a new sense of wit and warmth. His stories are told through honest world-worn lyrics, time-tested weariness, and emotion that any one of us can relate to. Ben possesses an undeniable charm and natural folksy energy, a singular style that succeeds at combining soulful singer-songwriter folk rock with an edgy tone and strong groove. Ben's voice mirrors the style in which he writes - soft and subtle or wailing in full-on rage.

"Arnold has an ear for coy harmonic twists and trenchant insinuating refrains..." (from a review by T. Moon, Phila. Inquirer)

The Hix

The primary element that holds The Hix together is the deep affection they all share for the traditional music of the rural American south, called Old-Time Music.  Prior to the formation of The Hix, each band member discovered, on his own, the beautiful scratchy sound, the festivals, and the wonderful community of people, both young and old, that play this music.  From either word of mouth, instruction book, recordings, radio, or television, each band member responded instinctively to the expressive nature of the old-time sound.  By the time The Hix formed, each member had roughly 20 years of traditional playing experience under their belts.  Given this rich background, The Hix arrive on the music scene with roots planted firmly in the ground.

Townhall

Townhall has experience that includes Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Folk, and Latin and are influenced by great songwriters and exceptional musicians such as Bob Marley, The Band, Stevie Wonder, and Miles Davis just - to name a few.  Townhall brings together a diverse musical background and melded these sounds into something entirely new.    Music lovers everywhere immediately embraced the unique sound of Townhall, starting what would become a vast and loyal fan base that continues to grow.     www.townhallmusic.com

Teri Rambo

Teri has been singing and writing songs since 1990. After studying voice formally for two years in Potsdam, NY, she abandoned art songs for folk songs and began to write her own. Terišs style has been described as honest. To listen carefully to her songs is to know her well! Terišs truthful lyrics and candid delivery make her soul accessible, even to perfect strangers. She is thrilled to take the Seven Stars stage for a fourth time this year.

Plastic Nebraska

"...with a corn-belt sounding accordion, a demented twist on folk and country, and a line dancing rhythm, it is hard to categorize Plastic Nebraska. They achieve all these sounds while at the same time sounding dark and mischievous. ...Each song has an inner conflict in its emotion. They tease the senses, as the underlying flow of the music is smooth and fluid-like... This is the kind of music I could imagine myself dancing to at an all night rave in a barn in the middle of the country, surrounded by nothing but corn fields, cow pastures, and chicken pens." The Red Hots

Out of the birth of Bobville came the Red Hots, legendary festival band that rocks audiences wherever they go. The Red Hots are famous for their super charged performances, emitting an energy that is second to none! Consisting of Fiddler, Joe Thrift, Riley Baugus on Guitar, Tom Riccio on Banjo, and Steve Mason on Bass the Red Hots have toured festivals and dances up and down the East Coast for nearly 20 years. Over the years they have put out several recordings, all of which are out of print except the CD, "Ready to Roll" which is available from Funkyside Music (www.funkyside.com).

The Sim Redmond Band

"Sim Redmond Band's music oozes over your brain like a comforting blanket with its sunny sound and earthy rhythms rooted in reggae, folk, and world music. The warm vocal harmonies and heartfelt lyrics are the extra flavor on top of their hypnotic musical dish. Bubbling bass and drums will put you in a trance while sparkling guitar opens your mind to the peaceful world this band has created."
